How are each wire different?
Many times there are questions from product installation. Which wire should I connect the power to? Which cable is which color?
Today, Lekise would like to lay the basics on electrical wiring first.
Electrical systems commonly used in homes, It will be a 1-phase
2-wire alternating current system.
Voltage 220 volts.
1. Cable L (Line cable) is a wire that has electricity flowing. It flows in through electrical equipment or light bulbs. It has a voltage of 220 volts.
2. N wire (Neutral wire) is a wire with no current flowing. But when working with light bulbs or electrical equipment, both wires must be used together in order for the electricity to flow completely.
3. Cable G (Ground Cable) is a cable connected from electrical equipment to allow electric current to flow to the ground when there is an electric leak. This increases the safety of the user's use of electricity.
According to TIS 11-2553 standards,
There is a change in the color of the insulation of each type of wire. To meet the IEC code standards
1 phase system
Phase wire (L) uses brown insulation.
Neutral wire (N) has blue insulation.
The ground wire (G) uses an insulator that is green with yellow stripes.
For safety, don't forget to close the cutout. and use the electricity meter or a screwdriver to test the power before changing. Repair or install light bulbs. With best wishes from Lekise Group
